This year's annual city celebration was really fun but just a little different then I expected! Wednesday morning was the baby contest and all the Miss Pleasant Grove Royalty girls that I helped in their Pageant this year were judging the contest! So I thought oh fun I will enter Cupcake and go say hi to all the girls! Now I have to say any of you that know Cupcake know that she is one of the happiest babies around! She rarely cries, she is always smiling and striking a pose for the camera, and is totally a people person! So, I assumed she would perform for the girls at the baby contest, especially cause they adore her and she loves them! We get there and of course it is during her nap time, and we are in the line (7-12 months) that is not in the shade for over an hour! But usually she does well without a nap and in the sun, but today was very different! Unlike her character she was totally fussy, not wanting to eat, play, sleep, and or do anything but be held and FUSS! So needless to say, she didn't win! But, the story does not end there! I got her to get to sleep on the short drive home, where Bailey (my cute cousin) and I were getting everything ready to go to the Provo Pool, with Melyssa and Maddie. We got to the pool and Cupcake was still asleep so we laid out, and took turns going down the really fun slides. When Presli woke up she was really happy and so I didn't think anything more of the morning except for the fact that it was hot and she was really tired. So we go get in the kiddie pool and Cupcake starts acting really fussy again and starts rubbing relentlessly at the top of her little head! I guess as a first time Mom you never really know what to do, when something abnormal is going on with your child, so after about an hour of her not digging the pool, which is so not like her, and a horrible rash starting to appear all over her body, I decided to take a visit to the Doctor! I came to find out that she had gotten a virus called Rosiolla, which is farely common in babies her age. Just a hint for you first time moms out there, it starts with a really high fever for two or three days and then the rash comes a day or so later, and they are contagious during the fever stage! So the doc told me to give her benadryll for the itch and to just let her sleep it off and she would feel better in a day or two! So we followed the doc's orders and she did start to feel better, and then the blow-outs hit! So, just as she started to feel better she got a really sore bum from all the dirty diapers that comes with the virus! Poor baby! So by the time we were ready to hit the Rodeo with all of Daddy's Friends, which was very fun, she was feeling a lot better except for her little bum! Needless to say it was all really scary, sad, tiring, and a whole new world of firsts for us! But it will be a Strawberry Day's Extravaganza we won't forget!!! 
Mom I especially want to let you know how important you are to Us and your very first Grandbaby!!! We love you so much think that you are such an amazing person! You are always there for us no matter what! You have been through a lot in your life and you always seem to get back up on your feet with a smile on your face through it all, I hope that I can emulate that quality! I can always count on you for expert advice on almost anything! You have been such a good Mother, Friend, Supporter, and Example to me and an incredible Grandma to Cupcake! If I can turn out to be half the Mother you have been I will be happy! Thanks for all you do for me and my family we love you so much and hope your birthday is AMAZING, as it should be, you deserve it!

Happy Fathers Day! Yesterday we went to Kneaders for the special Fathers Day french toast, Daddy loved it! We also got him a new C.D., a Pic of Cupcake, a special golf tee, and a gift card we hope you have a great day! We just want you to know how special he is to me and Cupcake! We love you and are so grateful for you in our lives! You are an amazing Daddy!
I also wanted to let my Dad Mike know how much we love him and are grateful for him in our lives!!! We met my real Dad right before we got married and they have taken us in and loved us as if we were never not apart of their lives! He has taken such good care of all of us and he absolutely adores Cupcake! We love you, Grandpa Walker!
